  • Key responsibilities include designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining a scalable data quality framework across data assets, building automated data quality checks, validating data across pipelines and repositories, and collaborating with Data Engineering and other teams to gather requirements.
  • The role also involves writing and executing detailed test plans, troubleshooting issues, supporting ongoing data quality requests, and developing dashboards and reports to communicate test results and data health metrics.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience is required.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are necessary to resolve complex data issues.
  • A solid foundation in development and automation, with attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines, is essential.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and review complex queries, is required.
  • Programming experience with Python, Scala, or shell scripting is necessary, and experience with Spark/PySpark is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with Hive (HQL), HDFS, and various data formats such as JSON, XML, ORC, Parquet, and AVRO is expected.
  • The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills are required, especially for explaining technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting large-scale data processes is necessary.
