We are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Data Science Engineer to join our team and help eliminate the financial complexity of healthcare.
The role involves working cross-functionally with Product and subject matter experts to conceptualize, prototype, and build data solutions.
You will connect disparate datasets, such as claims, contract rates, and demographics data, to empower internal and external stakeholders.
The position requires applying evolving industry standard data science techniques and toolkits to analyses and communicating results via reports and visualizations.
You will contribute to building, maintaining, and testing data pipelines.
Drafting internal and external technical documentation is also part of the responsibilities.
Seeking and prioritizing technical and product feedback from internal customers is essential.
The role requires iterating quickly with an eye towards value.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/knowledge is required; we are open to strong candidates with non-traditional educational backgrounds.
You must have 2+ years of experience developing data models, pipelines, and end-to-end analytical solutions using Python and SQL.
A strong grasp of data architecture and engineering practices, including ETL/ELT workflows, orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt), and cloud-based storage (e.g., S3, Redshift) is necessary.
A solid understanding of analytics and machine learning fundamentals is required.
You should possess expert communication skills and the ability to visualize complex data insights for clients and internal stakeholders.
An entrepreneurial mindset is essential; you should prioritize tasks with an eye for evolving business needs and be able to problem solve independently.
Comfort in working remotely within a collaborative, technical team is required.
