The Data Scientist will be part of the Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) team, focusing on delivering data analytics projects for Visa clients.
This position is embedded at the client office in Bangalore and reports to the squad lead.
Responsibilities include executing data analytics projects, driving credit card portfolio strategies, acting as an analytics advocate, exploring new data sources, and managing stakeholder communication.
The role aims to provide data-driven strategies to help clients grow their business and solve problems.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience is required.
Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or over 2 years with an Advanced Degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
Experience in credit card and/or retail banking analytics is essential.
Hands-on experience with data analytics/programming tools such as SAS, Hadoop, R, SQL, Python, or Hive is required.
Candidates should possess outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically.
Strong presentation and data storytelling skills, particularly in MS Excel and PowerPoint, are necessary.
The individual should be self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
Experience working closely with the data science community is preferred.
