Remote Data Scientist

Description:

• The Data Scientist role involves working in a hybrid capacity between business, data scientists, and data engineers to identify important trends and KPIs.
• Responsibilities include designing robust, reusable, and scalable data solutions, building models to analyze datasets, and collaborating with Data Engineers on large-scale engineering projects.
• The role requires working in an agile environment using Trello and developing new systems and tools for stakeholders to understand data intuitively.
• The Data Stack includes tools such as Airflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Fivetran, Google Cloud Platform, DBT, and Tableau.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of data science experience.
• Experience in translating complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations is required.
• The ability to independently drive data science and engineering solutions is necessary.
• Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL for data analysis over large-scale datasets is essential.
• Proficiency in using Python libraries (Pandas, Polars, PyArrow) with Google Cloud Platform is required.
• Comfort with AI pipelines, particularly Vertex AI, is expected.
• Knowledge of bash/shell and orchestration tools like Airflow is preferred.
• Experience with version control (Git) and containers (Docker) is necessary.
• Skills in analytical SQL for data modeling and transformations are required.
• Foundational expertise in deploying and maintaining machine learning pipelines is a plus.
• A Bachelor's degree is required, while a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience is preferred.
