This position is for a Data Scientist (Product) at Kalshi, a fast-growing team in the financial markets sector.
The role is remote and based in the United States, specifically New York City.
The Data Scientist will use data to drive product decisions, optimize performance, and shape the company’s growth strategy.
Responsibilities include partnering with cross-functional teams to define key metrics, analyze trends, and design A/B tests for strategic decision-making.
The candidate will build predictive models and analytical frameworks to support various initiatives across Product, Marketing, Finance, and Platform.
The role involves developing and maintaining datasets, dashboards, and tools to improve data accessibility and usability.
The Data Scientist will lead end-to-end data projects, from scoping business problems to delivering actionable insights.
Promoting data literacy and best practices to ensure a data-informed culture across all functions is also a key responsibility.
The candidate will identify areas for process improvement and automation through analytics and machine learning.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field is required.
Proficiency in SQL and a scripting language such as Python or R is necessary.
Familiarity with distributed data systems like Redshift, Snowflake, Spark, Hive, or Presto is expected.
A strong background in statistics, experimentation methodologies, and/or forecasting techniques is essential.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work cross-functionally and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience supporting data needs in one or more of the following areas: Product, Marketing, Finance, or internal Tooling is required.
A self-starter mindset with a track record of navigating ambiguity and working in fast-paced environments is a bonus.
