The Data Science Research team is responsible for creating and developing new products to meet the changing needs of the digital advertising industry.
As a Data Scientist on the team, you will prototype innovative ideas, conduct experiments, and develop data-driven solutions for complex business challenges.
You will work independently on end-to-end research projects while collaborating with a team of data scientists.
The role involves presenting and promoting results to internal stakeholders and external clients and partners.
You will support and improve existing data science products and analyze large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights.
The position requires designing, implementing, and evaluating machine learning and statistical methods for exploratory data analysis and product development.
You will design and execute A/B tests to optimize product performance and maximize revenue growth.

Requirements:
A Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as machine learning, statistics, physical science, or quantitative social science is required, or an M.S. in computer science or statistics with two years of professional experience.
Experience using real data to solve real problems is essential.
Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and fluency in related technical tools is required.
An interest in applying machine learning to large datasets to solve business problems is necessary.
Knowledge of current large language model and generative AI tools, along with an interest in applying them to data products, is important.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, with comfort in a client-facing role.
A track record of contributing to publications, presentations, external collaborations, and service to the research community is a plus.
Intermediate programming skills are necessary, with a willingness to learn and work with technologies such as Python, Google Cloud Platform, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark, BigQuery, and SQL.
