Remote Data Scientist (short-term)

Description:

• We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist with experience in NLP and foundation model fine-tuning to join our team.
• You will work on deploying and optimizing LLMs with a focus on real-world applications like OCR, NER, and entity linking.
• Your responsibilities will include developing and fine-tuning NLP models for OCR, named entity recognition (NER), and entity linking tasks.
• You will work with foundation models to optimize, fine-tune, and deploy them for task-specific applications.
• You will build and maintain FastAPI-based services to expose model functionality.
• You will integrate and manage model workflows using Langchain, Langgraph, and Langfuse.
• You will utilize AWS Bedrock to leverage and deploy applicable models at scale.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure model reliability, traceability, and performance.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Natural Language Processing is required, particularly in fine-tuning and optimizing foundation models.
• Experience with task-oriented NLP applications such as OCR, NER, and entity linking is essential.
• Strong programming skills in Python are necessary, along with experience in building APIs using FastAPI.
• Practical experience deploying and tracing models using Langfuse, Langchain, and Langgraph is required.
• Familiarity with cloud-based model hosting, especially AWS Bedrock, is important.
