  • As a Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our software applications to ensure optimal performance and usability.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify user needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
  • Ensure health of several SQL databases to support various software applications, addressing technical issues and resolving issues promptly.
  • Design and implement database structures or changes in accordance with software development lifecycle needs and coding practices.
  • Define user security and enable concepts of least privilege to maintain data integrity.
  • Focus on high availability and quality for all software applications, including load testing and processing bottlenecks.
  • Utilize efficient and effective transaction recovery techniques as well as backup data replications.
  • Collaborate in the maintenance of Azure services such as SQL databases, BLOB storage, and Kubernetes.
  • Work closely with business leaders to identify and resolve critical issues to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform regular health audits of database performance and implement new versions or patches as needed.
  • Proactively and reactively provide data management support, tools, and training to users.

Requirements:

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Database Administrator.
  • Strong technical background with knowledge of software development methodologies, databases, and programming languages.
  • Extremely strong SQL server and Azure knowledge.
  • Experience in providing technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving software application issues.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
