Description:

  • Version 1 is seeking an experienced consultant to join its Managed Services team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing solutions for mid to enterprise level organizations.
  • The role requires an individual who enjoys a fast-paced environment, can prioritize workload, and is eager to gain industry experience.
  • A solid background in Microsoft and/or Oracle technologies with a Continuous Service Improvement mindset is essential.
  • The successful candidate will work within a team of experienced Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrators.
  • Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex issues, collaborating effectively to meet deadlines, and developing an understanding of clients' businesses, applications, and users.
  • The candidate must effectively communicate technical issues to business users and identify, recommend, and implement continuous service improvements.
  • Client-facing skills are also required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years of specialist experience in an Oracle DBA support role.
  • An IT or Engineering degree or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary.
  • Knowledge of the constraints and challenges of supporting secure, high-availability IT environments is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team is necessary.
  • Working experience in Oracle Database Administration, SQL Server Database Administration, Red Hat Linux or Oracle Linux Administration, Oracle Exadata Administration, Oracle RAC Administration, Oracle ASM Administration, Database Backup and Recovery procedures (RMAN), and Oracle Data Guard configuration and administration is required.
