Description:

  • The Database Engineer Intermediate designs, analyses, and modifies Electronic Health Record (EHR) software applications for the organization.
  • Working under moderate supervision, the Database Engineer Intermediate encodes, tests, debugs, and installs the software modules to ensure the system is running smoothly and efficiently for users.
  • Responsibilities include analysing the implementation and design of organization databases to ensure they are both user-friendly and secure.
  • The role involves monitoring database performance, scalability, and security to identify and resolve performance issues and ensure optimal database performance.
  • The Database Engineer prepares processes to evaluate existing database designs to determine if final solutions meet organizational needs and improve the overall system.
  • Participation in the creation of data architectures for databases and data warehouses is required to ensure a well-structured and efficient environment.
  • The engineer reviews data migrations/conversions and seeks advice from senior management regarding troubleshooting data processing issues that may be complex or difficult.
  • Researching strategy development for data acquisition, archive recovery, and database implementation is essential to ensure successful implementation aligns with organizational needs.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must reside on the United States East Coast and may be subjected to working as early as 6AM EST.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
  • The position requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • A platform-centric Certification is necessary.
  • Experience with Power BI and SQL is required.
  • Candidates must have 1+ years of experience with the Health Catalyst platform.
