Responsibilities include maintaining and improving production database environments (MySQL/Aurora) hosted in cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
The engineer will diagnose and resolve performance issues, outages, and scalability challenges.

Collaboration with development teams to design scalable, efficient schemas is required.
The engineer will own database upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
Building internal tools and automation to reduce manual operational effort is part of the role.
On-call support as part of a pager rotation and responding to critical incidents is expected.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Hands-on experience with MySQL and working in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.) is necessary.
Familiarity with distributed databases and replication strategies is important.
Comfort with Linux system internals and scripting (Shell, Python, Perl, etc.) is required.
A calm, problem-solving mindset, especially during high-stakes situations, is essential.
Clear communication skills for working with remote and global teams are needed.
