TigerData is seeking a Database Support Engineer for their global team, focusing on providing deep technical support and daily customer interaction.
Candidates should have extensive experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and be able to quickly understand TimescaleDB.
The position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates in the US West Coast, Pacific Standard Timezone (PST).
This is a permanent weekday role with 5-day, 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities include working with customers on various topics, managing support cases, developing customer relationships, and continuously seeking improvements in products and processes.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have relational database experience at scale, including administration, data modeling, and query optimization.
Experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, is a strong plus.
Previous experience as a technical support professional with external customers is necessary.
A strong aptitude for understanding and learning new software products is essential.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to express patience and empathy when troubleshooting complex technical concepts, are required.
