Description:

  • The position is for a Database Architect to support the Consolidated Corporate Support Services (CCSS) 2.0 contract for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • The Database Architect will design and model data structures to support enterprise financial and administrative systems.
  • This role emphasizes creating scalable, secure, and efficient database architectures that align with VA operational and modernization goals.
  • Responsibilities include developing, testing, and maintaining application features, participating in Agile development teams, collaborating with business analysts, writing clean and secure code, conducting unit testing, and documenting code and system configurations.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related professional experience is required.
  • Alternatively, 8 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with enterprise-level systems in government or financial domains, familiarity with Java, .NET, or Python, knowledge of REST APIs and microservices, and experience using source control tools like Git and project tracking systems such as Jira.
