We are hiring a Developer Relations Intern to help grow and engage Soda’s technical community.
You will work closely with the founding team, engineering, and growth to build open-source projects, create high-quality content, and be an active presence in the data and observability ecosystem.
Your work will make it easier for data and ML engineers to adopt Soda, learn from community use cases, and contribute back.
This role is a mix of coding, writing, advocacy, and community-building.
If successful, we expect you to grow into a full-time DevRel, Developer Advocate, or Technical Product role.
Responsibilities include building open-source projects and example repositories that showcase Soda’s products, writing clear and technically accurate content such as tutorials, guides, walkthroughs, engineering blog posts, integration how-tos, and community success stories.
You will speak with users to help them solve technical problems, answer questions in Slack, GitHub, and forums, triage issues, gather feedback, and present in community calls, webinars, and conferences.
You will collaborate with product and engineering to improve the developer experience and help grow and nurture our open-source contributor base.
Requirements:
You must have built and shipped real code, including projects, scripts, or tools you can show.
Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
You should be comfortable writing Python and working with CLI tools, APIs, GitHub, and data workflows.
A curious, self-directed attitude and confidence in learning in public are essential.
You should thrive in community spaces and know how to engage people without fluff.
Comfort with being on camera and giving live demos or screencasts is necessary.
You must be available to start in November and be based in or willing to relocate to a European time zone, with occasional travel (~1x/quarter).
Nice to haves include prior experience contributing to open-source projects, knowledge of modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Spark, Snowflake), familiarity with the observability or MLOps space, experience in startups or fast-paced environments, and having published content (personal blog, newsletter, YouTube, Dev.to, etc).
Benefits:
You will be part of a transformation as we enter a pivotal phase, and your work will define the industry’s future.
Experience fast growth by working with a fast-growing international VC-funded startup with a flat structure.
Join a small, high-impact team of passionate builders who move fast and push each other to improve.
You will have ownership from day one, with the autonomy to make impactful product and roadmap decisions.
Enjoy an international culture with a team that spans 12+ countries, allowing you to learn from different perspectives and collaborate across time zones.
Work on your own terms with fully remote, flexible work, and as many opportunities to meet up as you want.
Compensation for this position is 850 EUR/month for part-time work (20 hours per week).
