Remote DEVOP Engineer (AWS Terraform)-PSDE II

Description:

• Automate deployments using custom templates and modules for customer environments on AWS.
• Architect AWS environment best practices and deployment methodologies.
• Create automation tools and processes to enhance day-to-day functions.
• Educate customers on AWS and Rackspace best practices and architecture.
• Lead Workload/Workforce Management and Optimization tasks.
• Mentor and assist Rackers across the Cloud Function.
• Quality check development of technical training for all Rackers supporting Rackspace Supported CLOUD Products.
• Provide technical expertise for various stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and Business Development Consultants to build strong customer relationships.

Requirements:

• Experienced in solutioning and implementing Greenfield projects leveraging IaaS, PaaS for Primary site and DR.
• Near expert knowledge of AWS Products & Services, Compute, Storage, Security, networking, etc.
• Proficient in Python, Linux, Shell scripting.
• Proficient in git and git workflows.
• Excellent working knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems.
• Highly skilled in Terraform/IaC, including CI/CD practices.
• Working knowledge in Kubernetes.
• Experience in designing, building, implementing, analyzing, Migrating, and troubleshooting highly available systems.
• Knowledge of at least one configuration management system such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools.
• Understanding of services and protocols, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of hosting environments.
• Knowledge in the application of current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols.

• Willingness to work weekends and/or holidays when required.
