As a DevOps Architect, you will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of infrastructure and deployment architecture at scale.
Your role will involve hands-on engineering, strategic planning, and technical leadership within a cross-functional team of up to thirty people.
You will collaborate with architects and engineering leaders to define scalable, secure, and observable infrastructure patterns for the A365 product.
Participation in roadmap planning and project management is essential to align technical initiatives with strategic goals.
You will build relationships with development teams to enhance the developer experience by removing friction and unblocking barriers.
The role includes leading the evolution of the internal DevOps platform and evaluating cloud-native patterns using AWS and Kubernetes.
You will drive architectural decisions across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and compliance.
The position requires spearheading Infrastructure as Code standards and mentoring engineers on design principles and operational excellence.
You will also participate in hiring efforts to build a world-class DevOps organization.
Requirements:
You must have 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.
Proven experience in designing and operating production systems in cloud environments, particularly with AWS or another major cloud provider, is essential.
Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes internals and ecosystem tools is necessary.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform is required.
Familiarity with CI/CD platforms and self-hosted CI/CD systems is needed.
You should have strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to write automation in Go, Python, or Bash.
Experience leading architectural decisions for Kubernetes-based platforms is required.
Comfort with event-driven and microservices-based architecture is necessary.
Proven experience in building developer platforms for mid-size and enterprise customers is essential.
A strong background in monitoring and observability tools is required.
You should have a track record of mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
Familiarity with security tooling and policy-as-code, as well as other cloud providers and data analytics tooling, is a plus.
Good communication skills are necessary to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
