Remote DevOps Engineer

Description:

• The position is for a DevOps Engineer at BLN24, an award-winning Management Consulting Firm supporting the U.S. Federal Government.
• The role requires a skilled and proactive individual with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, Angular) and backend frameworks like .NET is also necessary.
• The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines to support seamless deployment and delivery processes.
• Responsibilities include deploying and managing scalable applications using Kubernetes (EKS or self-managed) and Docker.
• The engineer will manage and provision infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Automating operational tasks using scripting tools (Shell, Python, or similar) is required.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting system performance, availability, and security issues is part of the job.
• Collaboration with development teams to support frontend/backend integration and deployment workflows involving React, Angular, .NET, and JavaScript applications is essential.
• The engineer will maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensuring compliance with security best practices and conducting routine audits is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• The candidate must have 3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a related role.
• A strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) is necessary.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are required.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is essential.
• Required technical skills include experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Deep experience with AWS is required.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is necessary.
• The candidate should have experience working with .NET environments and builds.
• Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and CloudWatch is required.
