The position is for a DevOps Engineer at BLN24, an award-winning Management Consulting Firm supporting the U.S. Federal Government.
The role requires a skilled and proactive individual with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.
Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, Angular) and backend frameworks like .NET is also necessary.
The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines to support seamless deployment and delivery processes.
Responsibilities include deploying and managing scalable applications using Kubernetes (EKS or self-managed) and Docker.
The engineer will manage and provision infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, IAM, and CloudFormation.
Automating operational tasks using scripting tools (Shell, Python, or similar) is required.
Monitoring and troubleshooting system performance, availability, and security issues is part of the job.
Collaboration with development teams to support frontend/backend integration and deployment workflows involving React, Angular, .NET, and JavaScript applications is essential.
The engineer will maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensuring compliance with security best practices and conducting routine audits is also a key responsibility.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
The candidate must have 3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a related role.
A strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are required.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is essential.
Required technical skills include experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Terraform, and Ansible.
Deep experience with AWS is required.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is necessary.
The candidate should have experience working with .NET environments and builds.
Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and CloudWatch is required.
