Remote DevOps Engineer - Connected Vehicle Platforms

Description:

• To.Scale is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a major Japanese automotive manufacturer to help shape the future of connected mobility.
• This role is hands-on and involves building the pipelines, infrastructure, and automation for modern connected vehicle platforms.
• Responsibilities include automating infrastructure with Terraform, deploying and debugging Kubernetes workloads in AWS, and collaborating with cybersecurity teams to ensure security in all deployments.
• The engineer will troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, pipelines, and applications, and optimize AWS environments for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• The position emphasizes collaboration, automation, and problem-solving within the team.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have 3–5 years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on skills with Terraform are non-negotiable.
• Expertise in AWS services such as IAM, VPC, EKS, CloudFront, and API Gateway is required.
• Experience in deploying and debugging Kubernetes workloads is necessary.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes, preferably with GitLab CI and Argo CD, is expected.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and/or Bash/Shell is required.
• The ideal candidate should be an agile team player with a strong problem-solving drive.

• Compensation is based on 220 days per year, converted into a fixed monthly fee that includes paid time off and local public holidays.
