Description:

  • The technical team consists of 25 members including Back, Front, iOS, Android, UX/UI, QA, and Product, who develop, test, and deploy features daily on apps and the website impacting hundreds of thousands of users in Europe.
  • As a DevOps Engineer, you will join a structured tech team organized into agile squads (Backend, Frontend, Mobile iOS/Android, QA, Product) and report to the Staff Engineer back-end, ensuring the integrity of the infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring.
  • The tech teams are based in Paris or can work fully remote, gathering monthly for impactful meetings such as platform or squad gatherings, meetups, and team building.
  • Your role involves organizing work in collaboration with the backend platform and your squad, focusing on delivering the best digital experience for clients with a technical perspective.
  • You will optimize and evolve the infrastructure to support growth and ensure high availability (fault-tolerance, redundancy, immutability).
  • You will automate provisioning, deployment, and monitoring using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborating with Backend teams to streamline delivery and enhance productivity through CI/CD, pipelines, and integration tools is essential.
  • You will oversee the security and updates of the infrastructure (OS, DB, cloud security, incident management) with support from the infrastructure provider.
  • You will build the technical vision for infrastructure by proposing improvements, sharing insights, and participating in architectural decisions.
  • Participation in team rituals and occasional contributions to Backend development based on your interests is expected.

Requirements:

  • A confirmed experience of at least 3 years in DevOps or SysAdmin is required.
  • Mastery of Kubernetes clusters in the cloud, along with knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and GCP is essential.
  • A solid understanding of backend constraints and software architecture is necessary.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems such as CircleCI, Jenkins, or Github Actions is required.
  • A culture of automation, rigor, and proactivity is expected.
  • The ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and share best practices is crucial.
  • Nice to have: Experience with NewRelic, Cloudflare, DNS/certificate management, and Github Actions.
  • A certification such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) is a plus.
  • Experience in high-traffic environments (e-commerce, video, banking) is advantageous.
  • Soft skills: Being reactive/proactive, having a proposal mindset, pedagogical skills, technical curiosity, and the ability to collaborate well with all teams.
