Description:

  • Forethought is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team, which launched in 2018 and is the first AI-native platform for enterprise customer support.
  • The role involves architecting, implementing, and managing environments in Kubernetes and AWS.
  • Responsibilities include designing and implementing better processes for deployment and management of environments.
  • The engineer will continually improve architecture and processes while writing great documentation.
  • Collaboration with Engineers and Project Managers is essential.
  • The position requires improving and maintaining installation and configuration procedures.
  • The engineer will also provide support during and after hours.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role or a similar position.
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, EKS, Elasticache, RDS, and OpenSearch is required.
  • Experience with container management platforms like Kubernetes and GitOps tools such as Fluxcd is necessary.
  • Fluency in programming languages like Python or Golang is essential.
  • In-depth experience in building CI pipelines from the ground up is required.
  • Proficiency in managing cloud-based infrastructure is a must.
  • Expertise in designing and troubleshooting distributed systems is necessary.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, are required.
  • Familiarity with Git workflow is essential.
  • Experience with data infrastructure, including Spark (EMR on EKS), Dagster, and DBT, is a plus.
