Description:

  • Frontify is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help maintain and improve its system infrastructure.
  • The role involves working closely with the R&D team to identify and resolve bugs, as well as documenting relevant processes.
  • Responsibilities include designing, maintaining, and improving cloud infrastructure, developing a monitoring and observability framework, managing web servers and databases, and utilizing AWS services for scalable solutions.
  • The engineer will work with Docker for containerization and manage orchestration tools like Kubernetes or AWS ECS.
  • Collaboration with Engineers, Deployment Support, and Security teams is essential to streamline workflows and improve deployment processes.
  • The position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Switzerland or on-site in St. Gallen.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud engineer role, preferably in the SaaS space.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and Linux systems is required, along with familiarity with web servers like Nginx.
  • Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Cloudfront, or OpenSearch) is necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience with Terraform for creating infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of Docker containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes or AWS ECS) is essential.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build and deployment processes is required.
  • Experience with Puppet configuration management is a bonus.
  • Candidates should have a strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog or Grafana) and SRE principles.
  • Experience with incident management processes, including postmortems, is necessary.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, distributed team environment and speak English fluently.
