Remote DevOps Engineer

Description:

• Hiive is a fintech/marketplace startup named #4 in Canada for 2024, connecting buyers and sellers of stock in venture-backed pre-IPO companies.

• As a DevOps Engineer, you will ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of the infrastructure.
• You will collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to optimize deployment pipelines, enhance system performance, and maintain platform security.
• Responsibilities include automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring, designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ensuring platform reliability, and collaborating with product engineers to improve infrastructure and developer experience.

Requirements:

• You must have experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly strong proficiency in EKS, RDS, and VPC.
• A working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is required.
• You should have experience working with Linux-based infrastructure.
• Proficiency in building Infrastructure as Code configuration with Terraform is necessary.
• Experience in building performant CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions is required.
• Familiarity with Datadog or similar observability tools is essential.
• Strong communication and documentation skills are a must.
