Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a closely related field is required.
  • The candidate must have 7+ years of professional experience in DevOps, with at least 1-2 years in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Strong knowledge of core computer science concepts related to operating systems, networks, and systems architecture is necessary.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash is required.
  • The candidate should have deep experience administering, running, and deploying AWS-based services.
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticache (OpenSearch), and Neptune internals, including performance tuning and query optimization, is essential.
  • Experience with Aurora, Redis, Elasticache, and Neptune architecture, including replication and backup/restore mechanisms, is required.
  • Familiarity with AWS services commonly used with the above services, such as RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, and Lambda, is necessary.
  • Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions is required.
  • The candidate should have experience with database migration tools like AWS DMS, pg_dump, or logical replication.
  • Solid experience with Terraform, Packer, and Docker or their equivalents is necessary.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and certificate infrastructure is required.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Broad experience with cloud-hosted applications, including virtualization platforms and data stores, is necessary.
  • A curiosity for continuous learning and a drive to raise the bar is important.
