The DevOps Engineer III is part of the Global DevOps and SRE team at PriceSpider.
This role involves working in a multi-cloud infrastructure on AWS using technologies such as Github, Github Actions, Kubernetes/EKS, Serverless, Snowflake/Looker, IaC, and Cloud Security.
As an individual contributor, the DevOps Engineer reports to the DevOps manager and collaborates with other teams to implement DevOps best practices.
The position is critical in PriceSpider's DevOps and Cloud transformation journey, focusing on building sustainable tools and procedures for efficient software development and deployment.
Essential functions include designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and resilient AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
The role also involves designing and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
Security best practices must be implemented and maintained across the infrastructure.
The engineer will identify and automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
Collaboration with global engineering teams to share knowledge and skills is expected.
Conducting cost reviews of existing cloud resources and assessing opportunities to optimize costs and infrastructure footprint is part of the responsibilities.
The engineer will plan and execute initiatives to upgrade and scale systems, improving capacity, availability, reliability, and performance.
Operational support for all environments is required, including participation in a rotating On-Call schedule.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7-8 years of experience working with cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
A minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience with container orchestration, performance tuning, and optimization using Docker and Kubernetes in multi-cloud production environments is required.
Expertise in designing and implementing security and compliance best practices across all aspects of a global cloud infrastructure is essential.
Proficiency in writing administrative scripts using Bash, Python, or similar languages is necessary.
Exceptional troubleshooting skills using observability tools such as DataDog, ELK, and Prometheus in complex cloud-based environments are required.
Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and AWS services is needed.
The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders, is essential.
