Description:

  • The role is for a DevOps Engineer to architect, maintain, and innovate high-scale, AWS-based infrastructure for a global learning platform.
  • The position is remote within the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
  • Responsibilities include co-owning and evolving AWS-based infrastructure, leading DevOps projects, implementing best practices for deployment and automation, driving continuous improvement in CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining critical documentation.
  • The engineer will also resolve critical infrastructure issues, engage with community forums, and participate in agile practices.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining robust web application infrastructure.
  • Skilled in creating and maintaining multi-tenant, multi-region, highly available systems.
  • Experience in a product-led environment within a dynamic, product-focused software organization.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code principles.
  • Proficient in general security concepts and best practices across servers, networks, and applications.
  • Extensive experience with AWS infrastructure including VPC, Elasticache, Lambda, Security Groups, IAM, EC2, RDS, and S3.
  • Expertise in monitoring and troubleshooting network, system, and application issues.
  • Solid background in Linux system administration, ideally with Ubuntu or Debian.
  • Good experience with monitoring and logging within diverse ecosystems.
  • Experience with SQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL and MySQL on AWS RDS.
