Remote DevOps Engineer

Description:

• Resend is rapidly growing and scaling its infrastructure to support millions of emails sent every day.
• The position is for a DevOps Engineer who will join a team of engineers passionate about building a reliable and scalable platform.
• Responsibilities include helping define the architecture to support millions of daily API requests.
• The role involves improving high availability across multiple cloud providers, primarily AWS.
• The engineer will drive long-term infrastructure strategy to support the company's growth trajectory.
• Responsibilities also include scaling databases like Postgres and Clickhouse for optimal performance.
• The engineer will enhance observability by using monitoring tools like Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Designing CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline delivery is also a key responsibility.
• The role includes refining disaster recovery plans to ensure quick and reliable recovery.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or SRE roles.
• Deep experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, and CloudFormation is required.
• Effective communication skills in English, both in writing and verbally, are necessary.
• Candidates must be able to consistently work in the Americas/Europe timezone.
• A strong collaborative mindset and a passion for helping others are essential.
• It is preferred that candidates know about email best practices or are willing to learn more about this domain.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (CDK, Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) is desired.
• Experience architecting and scaling distributed systems on AWS is a plus.
• Familiarity with Node.js and Serverless architecture is also beneficial.
