We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end operation of validator nodes and stake pools with an emphasis on uptime, security, and performance.
Your role will involve scaling a globally distributed fleet of nodes, interfacing with both hardware and cloud deployments.
You will contribute to building a best-in-class staking experience for our delegators.
Key responsibilities include operating and monitoring Solana validator nodes across testnet and mainnet environments, launching and managing a Solana stake pool, and maintaining highly available, secure infrastructure in both cloud and hosted bare metal environments.
You will build and manage observability tooling, automate deployment and updates of validator software, and collaborate with network and protocol engineers.
Ensuring rigorous security standards, backups, and failover strategies will be part of your duties.
You will analyze rewards, vote credits, and uptime metrics to optimize validator competitiveness.
Requirements:
Proven experience operating Solana validators, especially using bare metal providers, and familiarity with the Solana CLI is required.
Strong Linux system administration skills, along with knowledge of networking fundamentals, are necessary.
Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Grafana and Prometheus is required.
Comfort automating infrastructure using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar is expected.
A good grasp of blockchain staking mechanics and validator incentive models is necessary.
You must have the ability to respond to incidents and recover from downtime independently and quickly.
