Description:

  • The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines for a global SaaS platform.
  • You will collaborate closely with developers and technical leadership in an agile, cross-functional team, driving best practices in automation, security, and reliability.
  • As a key contributor, you will address challenging infrastructure problems and deliver scalable solutions in fast-paced, start-up environments.
  • Essential duties include estimation and planning for infrastructure and automation tasks, analysis of requirements to develop robust, maintainable systems, and designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and related toolchains.
  • You will manage cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, Google Cloud (GC), and Cloudflare (CF), deploy, maintain, and optimize Kubernetes (k8s) clusters and containerized workloads.
  • The role involves developing scripts and automation using Python, Bash, and PowerShell, administering MongoDB databases, and ensuring high availability and backups.
  • You will maintain systems across Linux, macOS, and Windows environments, support development teams with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and continuous delivery.
  • Responsibilities also include configuring networks, VPNs, and HTTP reverse proxies for secure and efficient communication, implementing best practices for source control with Git, and monitoring systems for reliability, performance, and security.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • You must have 3+ years' experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar infrastructure/cloud engineering role.
  • Proven experience deploying and managing infrastructure on at least two of the following: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud is necessary.
  • Experience with Cloudflare is considered a bonus.
  • Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is required.
  • Advanced scripting skills with Python, Bash, and PowerShell are essential.
  • A strong grasp of networking concepts, VPNs, and HTTP proxying is needed.
  • Experience with Kubernetes set-up, management, and troubleshooting is required.
  • Familiarity with administering and scaling MongoDB is necessary.
  • Proficiency with Git and modern CI/CD practices is essential.
  • Previous experience supporting SaaS products in a start-up or high-growth technology company is required.
