Remote DevOps Engineer

Description:

• The DevOps Engineer is an individual contributor role on a dynamic and growing team focused on implementing DevOps for automation, deployment, and continuous monitoring of Turnkey Lender’s SaaS and Cloud offerings.
• The role requires extensive experience in infrastructure as code and automated deployments to provide guidance as Turnkey Lender accelerates its on-premises/cloud/SaaS offerings.
• Responsibilities include developing and implementing a platform that automates deployment, operations, and repetitive tasks.
• The engineer will document technical procedures, standards, and policies, assist with cloud migration, and develop scripts to enhance monitoring data visualization.
• The role involves conducting cloud or DevOps assessments, assisting the Ops team with project onboarding, and developing operational continuity scenarios in SaaS demo and development environments.
• Collaboration with software architects and developers is essential to improve system performance and customer experience.
• Continuous monitoring of Turnkey Lender’s development and production SaaS, Cloud, and on-premises instances is required.
• General database management skills, including experience with SQL databases (MSSQL, ORACLE, PostgreSQL) and backup and recovery processes, are also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field is required.
• Preferably, candidates should have 2 to 4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Good spoken and written English skills are necessary for effective communication.
• Experience in administering cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform is essential.
• Candidates must have experience in administering operating systems and an understanding of building fault-tolerant systems, including Windows and Linux/Unix administration.
• Experience working with high load and high availability systems is required.
• Strong experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or equivalent is necessary.
• Candidates should have strong experience with infrastructure as code tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in a scripting language such as C#, Groovy, Bash Script, PowerShell, or equivalent is required.
• Good team collaboration and individual skills are essential for success in this role.
