Remote DevOps Systems Engineer

Description:

• OptionMetrics is a technology company based in New York, NY, specializing in financial information and research from the option markets.
• The company is seeking a DevOps Systems Engineer to manage, troubleshoot, and optimize critical nightly workflows from 4 PM EST to 12 AM EST.
• The role involves solving challenges in the DevOps environment, cloud infrastructure, and network while utilizing the latest cloud provisioning tools.
• Responsibilities include overseeing deployments to production and non-production environments, automating daily operational tasks, and monitoring business solutions and internal tools.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3 to 6 years of experience with Linux.
• Hands-on experience in an AWS environment is required.
• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or Platform Engineering is necessary.
• Knowledge of cloud security and networking principles is essential.
• Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot pipeline issues are required.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, is needed.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.
