Description:

  • VivSoft Technologies is seeking a talented DevSecOps Engineer for a critical Department of Defense (DoD) project.
  • The position is remote and requires a Top Secret clearance.
  • The engineer will collaborate with the Cloud Architect, Software Engineering SMEs, Cybersecurity Cloud Engineer, and other team members.
  • Responsibilities include designing, building, and operating secure, scalable, and resilient CI/CD environments in alignment with DoD CIO DevSecOps Reference Design.
  • The role emphasizes Kubernetes-based containerized platforms, focusing on automation, infrastructure as code, and security best practices.
  • Key responsibilities include designing and managing Kubernetes clusters, building and maintaining container images, developing GitLab CI/CD pipelines, implementing GitOps workflows, automating infrastructure provisioning, embedding security practices in CI/CD pipelines, monitoring container workloads, and contributing to platform standards.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience deploying and managing containerized applications with Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, or OpenShift).
  • Strong proficiency with Docker, Helm, and container image lifecycle management is required.
  • Experience in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, runners, and YAML-based workflow design is necessary.
  • Candidates should have expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, particularly in AWS environments.
  • Familiarity with GitOps deployment strategies using ArgoCD, Flux, or similar tools is essential.
  • Experience implementing automated testing and security scanning in CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST) is required.
  • Candidates should be familiar with DevSecOps frameworks, especially the DoD DevSecOps Reference Architecture.
  • A security clearance requirement of TS SCI is mandatory.
  • Secure cloud infrastructure design aligned with NIST Risk Management Framework is necessary.
  • Experience with package managers such as Maven, Gradle, npm, or PyPI is required.
