As a Director, Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE), you will lead engineering teams to deliver production-ready GenAI solutions.
You will provide technical direction, unblock delivery challenges, and ensure architectural integrity across the full stack.
Your leadership will turn prototypes into reference implementations, accelerate innovation, and drive repeatable success across industries.
You will guide teams in developing LLM-enabled applications, oversee customer-embedded engagements, and direct the creation of reusable engineering assets.
You will channel field insights into platform and product teams, influencing roadmap priorities and improving tooling for broader engineering adoption.
Requirements:
You must have experience in integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
A minimum of 13 years of software engineering experience is required, including at least 2 years in customer-facing or embedded roles.
Proven ability to design and implement AI-native software in production-ready environments is essential.
Strong skills in backend (Python, Node.js, Java), frontend (React, Angular), and APIs (REST/GraphQL) are required.
Familiarity with LLM tooling such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, and prompt chaining is necessary.
You should be skilled in debugging distributed systems and implementing monitoring for performance and observability.
A platform mindset to contribute to shared SDKs and tools is important.
You must have a product sensibility, prioritizing user value and MVP iteration.
Experience with DevOps practices, including deploying in AWS, Azure, or GCP, is required.
You should be able to travel up to 30% to embed onsite and deliver solutions.

The position offers a competitive base pay ranging from $236,000 to $413,000, plus equity and variable compensation.
