E11 Bio is a Focused Research Organization (FRO) aiming to make connectomics scalable and cost-effective in mammalian brains, starting with mice and eventually humans.
The company has developed PRISM, a platform technology for low-cost optical connectomics that integrates genetic cell barcoding, multiplexed expansion microscopy, and machine learning reconstruction.
The goal of PRISM is to reduce the cost of connectomics by 100-fold, transforming brain understanding, treatments for brain disorders, and neuro-inspired computing.
The ML Scientist will develop innovative and scalable methods for optical barcode connectomics.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a significant non-profit neuroscience project and to help pioneer the FRO model, which combines non-profit team science with start-up culture.
