The E2E Engineering Solution Architect focuses on understanding, implementing, and testing Shift4’s end-to-end products and payment solutions across multiple systems and platforms.
This role involves working with product, development, and engineering teams to ensure effective integration and deployment of new and existing features, meeting business requirements and organizational standards.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining systems, processes, and tools for validating new Shift4 products before delivery to production platforms.
The engineer will develop and execute production test plans and scripts to ensure features function as intended, identify product defects, and maintain test documentation.
They will provide implementation guidance and oversight to operations and engineering teams during product delivery and project execution stages.
The role requires facilitating cross-functional communication between product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams, and providing feedback to product leadership.
The engineer will deliver technical leadership and mentor team members in areas like architecture, deployment models, and technology capabilities.
Mentoring, guiding, training, or onboarding team members in relevant technologies and skills is also a key responsibility.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience evaluating and deploying new product features to test and production environments, ensuring they meet Enterprise Merchants.
A strong understanding of payment credit card networks, digital wallets, and payment products, including their features, capabilities, payment devices, and security protocols is required.
Experience in designing and executing test plans for payment systems, identifying and reporting bugs, and ensuring products align with customer use cases and industry standards is essential.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary to identify, analyze, and solve complex technical scenarios.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like Computer Science or IT is preferred, though experience can be a substitute.
Candidates should have a strong history of motivating cross-functional teams and driving consensus in a matrix organization.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant payment industries, such as retail, lodging, or hospitality, along with experience in e-commerce, is required.
