Description:
Architect and deploy Elasticsearch clusters to ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance.
Fine-tune and optimize Elasticsearch indices and queries for improved search speed and efficiency.
Monitor and maintain Elasticsearch cluster health, conducting troubleshooting and maintenance tasks as needed.
Develop and manage data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and storing large datasets in Elasticsearch.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
Automate processes, manage infrastructure, and enhance data engineering practices using Linux systems and DevOps technologies.
Implement security features within Elasticsearch, including role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and audit logging.
Stay updated on security updates and patches to protect Elasticsearch clusters against vulnerabilities.
Design, deploy, and manage SIEM solutions using the Elastic Stack to monitor and respond to security incidents.
Integrate Elasticsearch with various data sources to collect and analyze security-related data.
Develop alerting mechanisms and dashboards within Kibana for real-time insights into security threats.
Document processes, configurations, and best practices related to Elasticsearch and data engineering workflows.
Stay informed about the latest developments in Elasticsearch, Linux, and DevOps technologies to introduce innovative solutions.
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Elasticsearch.
Hands-on experience managing and optimizing Elasticsearch clusters in a production environment.
Proficiency in Elasticsearch, Logstash, Beats, and Kibana (ELK Stack).
Strong background in Linux system administration, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools, particularly in CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
Good programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Bash scripting.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization tools like Docker.
Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
