Remote Elixir Engineer: Supavisor ( EMEA )

Description:

• Supabase is seeking backend Elixir experts focused on the stability and performance of Supavisor, their Postgres connection pool.
• Supavisor, written in Elixir, manages thousands of database clients and millions of queries, emphasizing performance and effective connection to Postgres.
• The role involves ensuring the connection pool can be deployed without user impact and maintaining compatibility with multiple systems.
• Responsibilities include working on stability and performance to scale according to customer needs while reducing operating costs, improving CI/CD processes for low-impact upgrades, and providing direct support to customers and third-party services using Supavisor.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience with low-level protocols and be skilled in using pattern matching or parsers.
• Familiarity with the ORM, database client, and integration ecosystem, such as SQLAlchemy and Prisma, is required.
• Experience in improving CI/CD processes with a focus on minimizing customer impact is necessary.
• Knowledge of Postgres is considered a plus.
