  • Inspiren is seeking a visionary and highly experienced Embedded Systems Architect to design and define robust, scalable, and efficient embedded system architectures for new products and features.
  • The role involves ensuring that solutions interoperate to form a cohesive platform, enabling faster development as the ecosystem expands.
  • Responsibilities include system architecture design, contributing to the technical roadmap, overseeing hardware-software integration, evaluating technology, driving performance optimization, establishing best practices, translating requirements, assessing risks, maintaining documentation, staying updated on industry trends, and providing troubleshooting guidance.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in embedded systems development, demonstrating deep expertise in embedded systems architecture and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in Python and C/C++ is necessary.
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux, RTOS, microcontrollers (ARM, RISC-V, etc.), and associated build systems is required.
  • Experience with wireless protocols and connectivity architectures such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, and LoRa is essential.
  • Proven experience with end-to-end system architecture and scaled systems that have encountered real-world complexities is required.
  • Extensive experience with diverse embedded operating environments (bare-metal, RTOS, embedded Linux) is necessary.
  • Candidates must have experience with system-level debugging, board bring-up, and hardware/software integration.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices in embedded devices is required.
  • A strong understanding of firmware development for IoT, industrial, automotive, or consumer electronics is necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Benefits:

  • The annual salary for this role ranges from $200,000 to $230,000, plus equity and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • The position offers flexible PTO.
  • This role is remote, allowing for work from anywhere in the US.
