  • This position requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to help customers achieve their goals and drive growth.
  • Responsibilities include educating customers on TiDB's capabilities, guiding them through design and deployment, leading Proof of Concept engagements, and developing tailored architectural solutions.
  • You will also create technical content, stay updated on database technology, and collaborate with various teams to enhance TiDB's offerings.
  • Travel within the region is expected, approximately 20-40%, for customer engagements.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in roles such as Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Database Administrator, or Software Engineer, focusing on distributed systems, databases, or cloud computing.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Extensive experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or customer-facing technical roles is essential.
  • A strong understanding of clustering technologies, terminology, and architectures is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration is required.
  • An understanding of network configuration and troubleshooting is needed.
  • Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar technologies is essential.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python, Golang, or Shell scripting, is required for automating deployment and management tasks.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills are necessary to convey technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for customer success are essential.
