As an Energy Solutions Engineer, you will drive energy transformation by developing tailored, high-impact efficiency solutions for large industrial clients.
You will bridge engineering with strategic business thinking, helping clients reduce energy consumption, lower emissions, and reach sustainability goals.
Support the sales organization in investigating new opportunities and preparing compelling proposals for internal and client approval.
The investigation process includes detailed energy performance modeling, energy savings forecasting, establishing initial control methodology, initial technical feasibility, and high-level project costing in collaboration with the EMENA projects team.
Provide initial technical input in the project engineering and technical operations functions of the organization.
Develop client accounts by actively managing previously established client sites and promoting the Energy Drive offering in the DACH region, requiring travel as needed.
Develop grant and rebate submissions within the region and provide support and advice to the Apogee Group in identifying and submitting proposals.
Own the technical pre-sales process, from site investigation to proposal delivery.
Conduct detailed energy savings analyses, feasibility studies, and high-level costings.
Present proposals to internal forums and client stakeholders.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key industrial clients in the DACH region.
Identify and secure grants or funding opportunities.
Provide technical expertise during project execution, ensuring smooth handover and optimized system performance.
Collaborate with engineering teams to refine solutions and improve outcomes.
Support internal processes with engineering documentation and performance models.
Develop and maintain CRM pipeline and reports.
Promote Energy Driveโs solutions across the DACH and broader EMENA regions.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering and sales functions.
Requirements:
Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) are essential.
An engineering degree (mechanical or electrical preferred) is required.
Proficiency in German at a minimum C1 level is necessary.
High proficiency in the English language is required.
Knowledge of VFDs, pump, and fan operations is important.
A minimum of 8 years of engineering experience is required.
A proven track record in sales/tech sales and business development is necessary.
Remote work experience is preferred.
Exposure to the MMM segment is preferred.
Experience in the Steel industry in Germany is preferred.
