The position is for an Associate Data Engineer at one of the largest insurers in the United States, which provides a wide range of insurance and financial services products.

The role involves applying analytics and modeling techniques to improve business results and performing routine assignments.
The candidate will leverage customer information and behavioral data to influence strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities include utilizing knowledge of consumer analytics, executing projects using basic programming, ETL, and modeling methods, and consulting on data extraction and manipulation.
The role requires developing presentations and communicating complex technical material to non-technical associates.
The candidate will execute intermediate model deployments using established MLOps techniques and work with analytics and IT teams to deploy models and rules.
Requirements:
The candidate should have 1-3 years of experience as a data engineer.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering (Big Data, AWS certification), Data Modeling, or a similar field is required.
Full English fluency is necessary.
Strong verbal communication and listening skills are essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
The ability to influence internal and/or external constituents is important.
Basic knowledge of data analysis and manipulation tools such as SQL, Python, SAS, R, and/or Snowflake is needed.
Familiarity with cloud computing services, particularly AWS, is required.
Certification in AWS and knowledge of Iceberg Tables are preferred.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI is beneficial.
Experience with ETL programming and modeling, including structure and data manipulation, is necessary.
