The F&O Senior Application Analyst is responsible for making complex configuration changes to business-critical systems, reporting into the Configuration Manager.
They work closely with the Product Team, business stakeholders, functional consultants, developers, and testers to ensure the systems meet business needs and follow best practices.
The role involves carrying out complex configuration of system enhancements, extensions, and integrations using industry-standard tools, specifically within Finance and Operations.
The analyst will coordinate the testing and release management of configuration changes, collaborating with the test and release teams.
They will work with the Configuration Manager to plan resource and training needs for the team.
Providing advice and guidance to users is essential, as well as resolving incidents and system issues via the Biffa Service Now portal.
The analyst will provide input, advice, and review for any application changes to ensure they meet business requirements.
Keeping up to date on software releases by providers is necessary, advising the business on which modules to adopt and the impact of new releases on Biffa processes.
They will liaise with the development team to agree on complex configuration changes, including code reviews and impact analysis.
The role requires close collaboration with Functional Consultants in developing Functional & Technical Design documents and implementing required changes as part of knowledge transfer.
Maintaining and updating security roles in Finance and Operations is also a key responsibility.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, system analysis, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in configuring and managing Enterprise applications and integrations, specifically with Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations.
Experience in adhering to and enforcing defined change control procedures is essential.
A good grasp of development lifecycles, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies, is required.
