This role involves shaping how thousands of developers discover, learn, and succeed with .txt's technology.
The position is a unique opportunity to build a Developer Relations function from scratch at a company defining a new category.
The individual will act as .txt's "Developer Zero," serving as the most demanding user and the bridge between developer needs and product development.
Responsibilities include overseeing the entire developer experience, from initial contact to production success, and managing strategy and execution across content, documentation, community, partnerships, and social presence.
The role offers high autonomy and impact, reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating closely with Engineering, R&D, and Open Source teams.
Key tasks include developer advocacy, content strategy, community building, strategic partnerships, and team building.
Requirements:
Candidates must have built something real with LLMs and understand the challenges of unreliable outputs.
The ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts in an engaging manner is essential.
Experience in growing developer communities is required.
Candidates should view documentation as a product rather than an afterthought.
A balance between developer advocacy and business realities is necessary.
The role requires someone energized by the challenge of building from the ground up.
Experience working at startups is preferred.
Candidates should either live in the Bay Area or be willing to travel there.
Previous experience managing a team is a plus.
