The Founding Lead AI Engineer will work remotely from anywhere in Vietnam.
This role involves using AI to address significant issues such as fraud detection and risk modeling, as well as creating hyper-personalized financial experiences.
The engineer will report directly to the Head of AI and will be responsible for writing production code, shaping strategy, mentoring team members, and growing a high-performance AI engineering team.
Key responsibilities include designing and deploying core AI systems, leading model architecture and data pipeline design, collaborating with various teams, and owning the end-to-end ML lifecycle.
The engineer will also review code, guide projects, mentor engineers, champion best practices, and contribute to technical hiring.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates should have 4–6 years of experience in AI/ML engineering with real-world deployment experience.
Strong Python skills and familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn are essential.
A solid understanding of the end-to-end ML lifecycle, including data pipelines, training, validation, and monitoring, is necessary.
Experience with applied AI problems like recommendation systems, fraud detection, risk assessment, and NLP is required.
A proven track record of technical leadership and mentoring engineers is expected.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must.
Candidates must be based in Vietnam and willing to work remotely with regional teams.
