Remote Freelance Opportunity: Senior Data Engineer (6-Month Project)

Description:

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support Finanzguru on a freelance basis for 6 months, with a start date as soon as possible.
• The role involves collaborating closely with Developers, Data Analysts, and Machine Learning Engineers to ensure our data pipelines deliver reliable, high-quality data at all times.
• The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining robust ETL/ELT pipelines, from raw ingestion to gold layer.
• The position also requires assessing our data architecture and providing recommendations on improvements with a focus on scalability, performance, and data quality.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a strong background in big data technologies, particularly Spark (Databricks) and AWS.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Scala is required, with the ability to use Spark efficiently for large-scale data processing.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines is necessary for this position.
• German proficiency is not required for this role.
