The role involves joining one of several teams, including Phone Team, Apps Team, Developer Relations Team, Growth Team, In-App Analytics Team, or Streaming Infrastructure Team.
Responsibilities include collaborating with Product and Design to create responsive features, optimizing apps for speed and scalability, writing maintainable code, and working in an agile environment.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with TypeScript and React.
A deep understanding of the frontend stack, including CDN, Cache, bundlers (vite, webpack/rspack), test runners (jest/vitest), and CI/CD is required.
Experience in high-traffic environments where scalability and performance are critical is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable balancing frontend and backend needs and providing input on API design.
Familiarity with React composition model, modern async state handling (react-query), inversion of control, and the testing pyramid is essential.
Strong skills in building user interfaces using modern CSS and UX principles are required.
Familiarity with WebSockets is a nice-to-have.
Bonus points for experience with pnpm for tooling, frontend UI/UX scaling topics, and interest in frontend architecture and platform work.
