Description:

  • Front is seeking a Front-End Web Developer to join the marketing team and manage, build, and expand Front.com.
  • The role involves optimizing and improving the website technology stack to create best-in-class customer experiences for prospects and existing customers.
  • The developer will work as part of a small web development team (3-5 developers) to optimize publicly-facing pages based on key business data and internal needs.
  • Responsibilities include writing Next.js code to create new web pages and global components, integrating Front.com with a headless CMS, and collaborating with product marketing and content teams.
  • The developer will redesign web pages based on new Figma designs, troubleshoot website UI and performance issues, and support A/B testing and website optimization efforts.
  • The role requires following industry best practices on web development, including accessibility and site architecture, and managing website sprints by setting work estimates and communicating potential risks.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have at least 4 years of front-end development experience, particularly with high traffic, public-facing websites (B2B preferred).
  • Experience in developing web components, working with GraphQL APIs, and debugging in Next.js/React is required.
  • A track record of working with headless CMS systems such as Craft CMS, Contentful, Sanity.io, or Storyblock is necessary.
  • Familiarity with two or more open-source CMS systems (e.g., Wordpress, Grav, Ghost, Hubspot, Jekyll) is expected.
  • Significant experience in JavaScript (Node.js) via TypeScript and using package managers like Yarn, NPM, and Homebrew is essential.
  • Candidates should have experience building and managing websites in React and/or Next.js and using PHP with databases.
  • Experience working on marketing teams, either as an individual contributor or as part of small development teams, is required.
  • Proven experience with third-party APIs, GraphQL, and modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS is necessary.
  • Candidates must have experience managing code changes across local, pre-production, and production environments.
  • Experience deploying web apps across various cloud platforms such as Vercel, Heroku, or Netlify is required.
  • Previous experience with website redesigns and CMS migrations is necessary.
