Homebase is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to join their team and enhance the way small business teams work.
The role involves building tools that improve the frontend developer experience, core architecture, and support fast, impactful development across product teams.
Key contributions include designing and building scalable, performant frontend software for Homebase customers, empowering other frontend teams by building tooling and improving developer workflows, and evaluating emerging frameworks and frontend technologies.
The engineer will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and product teams to deliver delightful user experiences and mentor junior engineers by leading with clean, maintainable code.
The position supports the transition into an AI-first engineering culture by adopting tools that improve velocity.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in frontend development, preferably with React.js.
Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.
Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and pull request workflows is necessary.
Experience working in agile environments is essential.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
The ability to evaluate and compare frameworks and technologies objectively is important.
Candidates must be comfortable collaborating in the office weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
