Remote Full-Stack AI First Engineer (AI-First Mindset)

Description:

• Belong is seeking a Full-Stack AI First Engineer with an AI-first mindset to join their team.
• The company aims to redefine the rental housing industry by empowering residents to become homeowners.
• The role involves shipping high-quality code quickly and embedding AI at every level of the software stack.
• Responsibilities include designing and deploying AI-powered product features such as recommendation engines and intelligent bots.
• The engineer will leverage AI throughout the engineering workflow, including code generation, testing, documentation, and deployment.
• The position requires building and integrating AI agent frameworks and working with both relational and non-relational databases.
• The engineer will build scalable, event-driven systems and microservices architectures.
• Collaboration with product, design, and engineering leadership is essential to shape Belong’s AI roadmap.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science or Software Engineering.
• A proven ability to take projects from concept to production is required.
• Strong interest and experience in building AI-first applications and integrating AI agents and services is necessary.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
• Knowledge of AI/ML toolkits and frameworks such as LangChain, OpenAI APIs, Pinecone, and Weaviate is required.
• Understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices is necessary.
• A bias toward rapid experimentation and iteration, balancing speed with quality, is important.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an asynchronous environment are required.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot is necessary.
• Experience in building AI-driven user experiences, such as chat interfaces and intelligent assistants, is preferred.
• Prior experience working in startups or on greenfield product teams is a plus.
• Interest in PropTech, FinTech, or consumer real estate is desirable.
• Bonus: Previous experience with TypeScript, Node.js, or C# is a strong plus.
