The Patrick J. McGovern Foundation (PJMF) is a philanthropic organization focused on advancing artificial intelligence and data science solutions for a sustainable future.
PJMF is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer (FSD) to join their Products and Services function.
The FSD will be responsible for the development, deployment, and maintenance of data and AI products aimed at creating positive social impact.
This role involves full-stack development of cloud solutions based on machine learning model predictions using a rapid prototyping approach.
The FSD will collaborate with a small, high-performing team, functioning similarly to a startup.
Key responsibilities include collaborative development, nonprofit consultation support, open source contribution, product integration, user-centric design, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development, with expertise in both UI development and backend integration.
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or React Native is required.
Strong programming experience with Python is essential, as the core codebase is primarily Python-based.
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins), source control (GitHub), and issue tracking (Jira) is preferred.
Production experience with cloud services (preferably AWS), containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.
Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL systems (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) is required.
Ability to create both Low-Fidelity (LoFI) and High-Fidelity (HiFi) wireframes and experience using Figma or equivalent tools is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Candidates should be effective team players who can work collaboratively in a high-performance, startup-like environment.
A results-oriented mindset, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and methodologies, is essential.
Cultural alignment with social progress and interest in emerging technologies is important.

The starting salary range for this role is anticipated to be $120,000 - $145,000.
