As a Mid-level Full Stack Engineer, you will develop scalable back-end systems and integrate user-facing interfaces, focusing on server-side applications using Node.js.
Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing RESTful APIs, optimizing database performance, and ensuring seamless front-end integration using React or similar technologies.
You will collaborate with product, design, and talent teams to build creator-centric features, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high code quality through code reviews.
This position is remote for those outside of LA or hybrid for those located in LA, with a fully stocked office.
Requirements:
You must have 4+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years focused on back-end development using Node.js and 1 year contributing to front-end development (React or similar).
Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js frameworks (e.g., Hono) is required, along with experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
Familiarity with database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite) and ORMs like Sequelize is necessary.
You should have knowledge of authentication systems (e.g., Gravitee, OAuth) and basic security practices.
Basic proficiency in front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) for integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic is expected.
Strong experience with Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development is essential.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Cloudflare) and containerization (Docker) is preferred, along with basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in a fast-paced environment are required.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, design) to deliver cohesive solutions is necessary.
A passion for social media, internet culture, and the creator economy, along with a collaborative and proactive mindset, is essential.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; equivalent experience is accepted.
Benefits:
